This two-hour Yin Yoga practice offers spring wisdom and nourishment drawn from both yogic tradition and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
We will explore a full- body Yin Yoga experience, centering poses associated with the Liver and Gallbladder systems. During the spring, we focus on these systems due to their crucial role in regulating the Wood element, storing Blood and guiding our chi. The Liver and Gallbladder also govern growth, envisioning, creativity, and decision making, which are all important in a season that welcomes new beginnings and possibilities.
This workshop is suitable for both beginners and experienced Yin Yoga practitioners. We will dedicate extra time to familiar poses from our weekly classes – as well as the opportunity to explore some complicated poses rarely offered in a shorter practice – allowing for a deeper exploration of Yin Yoga through breath and posture. This approach will promote ease and stability, culminating in a rejuvenating, long Savasana to fully absorb the benefits.
