Yin Yoga: Wednesday evenings at JP Centre Yoga

7 to 8 p.m. US Eastern

In this style of yoga, practitioners use props to set up the body in poses that last several minutes and do not require muscular effort, but do elicit a mild, sustainable sensation. Yin Yoga supports the hydration and overall health of the fascia, the connective tissue that wraps everything in the body. This is a slow practice that invites practitioners to sit with and react with compassion to emotions, thoughts, and memories that present themselves.

There are three ways to practice through JP Centre Yoga:

  1. Practice in person at JPCY by registering for the in-studio class.
  2. Practice live with the group via Zoom by registering for the livestream class.
  3. Practice at a time that matches your schedule: sign up for the livestream class, but do not sign in at the beginning. After the practice is over, a link with a recording of the practice will be emailed to you so that you can practice at a time convenient to you within 48 hours.
