Restorative + Meditation: occasional Friday evenings at Artemis Yoga

7 to 8:15 p.m. US Eastern

Offered approximately once a month, September through June, in person at Artemis Yoga.

Restorative Yoga uses props to support the physical body in poses where the intention is not to stretch, but to rest. Restorative Yoga is about softening, calming the nervous system, and creating space for radical acceptance. It is also an excellent way to prepare physically and mentally for meditation.

The first part of the practice will be a restorative sequence; the second part of the practice will include instructions and practice in one of several kinds of meditation, including: breath awareness meditation, Lovingkindness, gratitude, or mantra.

I offer many different versions of each shape, so you will be able to pick what works for you body in that moment. Please dress in comfortable clothing that will allow you to move.
